Results of Bogota Varsity Sports from Monday-5-February

   The Bogota Bowling Bucs lost to the Hawthorne Christian Defenders by the score of 7-0. Layla Grund had a high set with 506 Pins, and a 176 Game. Hawthorne Christian's Joey Betz had a match high of a 553 Set with Matthew Mitchell recording at and a match high game of 211 Pins. Bogota's Record is now 10-5. They next play on Tuesday-6-February against New Milford and start at 4:00p in the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park. 

  The Lady Bucs hosted Becton the Lady Wildcats on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.

The guest had a 15-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.  By Halftime Becton grew their advantage to 38 to 27 by halftime. The Lady Wildcats would go onto win the game by a score of 70-34. Abigail Liriano led Bogota with 13 Points. Ms. Liriano and Emma Fowler both scored 1 Three Point Baskets.  Makayla Douglas had a game high of 20 Rebounds.  Becton's Katie Reiner recorded game highs with 23 Points with 5 Three Point Baskets. Analise Feliz had 15 Rebounds.  Bogota's record is now 7-13. They next play on Tuesday-6-February at Midland Park with a 4:00p tipoff.

  The Bogota Men's Basketball Bucs traveled to Palisades Park to play the Tigers. The game would stay scoreless for over 2 minutes before Bogota finally broke through with the first two points. The Tiger then took a 4-2 lead soon after. The Bucs recorded the next nine points to take lead for good. The first quarter ended with a 16-9 Bogota advantage. By half time the Bucs lead was extended to double digits at 31-20. Bogota would come home with a 72-44 win. Michael Olivo and RJ Asencio both finished with game highs of 17 Points.  Mr. Asencio and Brandon Nicolas recorded 2 Three Point Baskets each. Lucas Cruz had 8 Rebounds. 

  They now have a record of 9-13, and next play Tuesday-6-February at Hawthorne starting at 4:30p.
