Harlem Wizards' Half time and after

15-April-2024
When the game against the Harlem Wizards when into halftime, the players made their way to the locker room. After a quick rest, the players returned to the court to sign autographs to as many fans as possible. The team added their name to souvenirs such as photos, basketballs, and jerseys. This also gave anyone in the gym a time to just chat and relax before the game started again. Before the restart there was a game of Wizard’s Musical Chairs. Five Students were chosen to play and needed to make a basket and find a chair before the others. When the final two players faced off, Madison would score first and sat down before Sebastion. For her win Madison received gifts from Giant, King Arthur and Lily the Hawk. Then the Bogota Staff, the Wizards players and the Wiz Kids posed for a group photo at Center Court.
During the second half the tempo sped up a bit, but with a few more stoppages. One was to bring a Family out of the stands to win prizes by playing Name that Tune. They would say all three correct answers (maybe with a little local help). Then Wizards Players took the time to toss prizes into the bleachers for both Students and Adults. This was followed by all members of the Steen Faculty standing in front of the seats to lead the crowd in Y.M.C.A.
As the game time drew smaller, Fresh Prince made one more Game Ending Dunk. After the two teams congratulated each other one more group activity took place. All Students, by grade level, were called down to the Court. Then Staff and any Adults who wanted to join in. Everyone stood in front of the Wizard’s Players to sing and dance one more time.
