Bogota High School Sports

   Some results from the past week in sports for Bogota High School.
  A score just in the Bogota Bucs have defeat  Wallington by the score of 48- 17 at Wallington.  This improves the Bucs record to 3-2.
They next play Emerson on Sat. Oct 13 at Feigel Field with the kick-off scheduled for 1:00p.
  Both the Girls and Boys cross country squad sweep their tri-meet at the Garrett  Mountain course. Both ran against Waldwick and Cresskill. The Girls scores were Bogota- 15 Cresskill - 48 and Bogota -15 Waldwick- 50. For the Boys it was Bogota - 19 Cresskill - 37 and Bogota -17 Waldwick- 46.
   Both squads next meet is at the Darlington course on Wednesday 10 -Oct against Saddle River and Palisade Park starting at  4:35p
   The Lady Bucs Volleyball team improved their record to 13- 2 with a 2-0 (25-8 : 25-15) victory over Secaucus Thursday night at Speary Gym. The Patriots came into the game with a 8 game winning streak, and an 11-1 record. But Bogota came at them hard, and strong. Again being lead by Carly O'Sullivan, and Julia Topor the Lady Bucs over powered their opponents.
  Taking advantage of the lead his first team players gave him Coach Brad DiRupo had a chance to see what the just of his squad can do. Under the watchful eyes of Coach DiRupo he saw the lead slip a bit But with  the leadership of Jenifer Ramirez guide them, the  team  went on to finish the job over Secaucus. There was also a display of team work that makes this Lady Bucs such a strong team, with the support, and encouragement shown by the starters for the players on the court.
  The next game for the Bogota is this weekend as they take part in the Garden Sate  Classic at Ramapo College. There next scheduled game is Tuesday 9- Oct at Midland Park starting at 7:00p
