On Thursday-12-July a water main break under River Rd caused the closures of both Elm Ave, and River Rd at the intersection. Crews repaired the break and the roads open to traffic later that day. No water stoppages were reported. The area was filled and patched smoothly for the safe flow of traffic. Unlike the condition W. Main St was left in after a new water line was installed in November of 2017. On Monday-16 July crews under contract with Bergen County will pave the west bound of W. Main St. starting at 7:00a The work is accepted to go from 7:00a to 4:00p with all of W.Main St from Larch Ave to Elm Ave closed to traffic. Alternate routes should be planned. Crews will fully repave the west bound lane from the centre line to the curb. Some sections of the east bound lane will be repaved as well. The paving was delayed in order to allow for proper settlement resulting from the excavation work.
