Results from Bogota Varsity Sports.
Monday-3-October
The Bogota Cross Country Bucs competed in the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Divisional Championship at Garrett Mountain. The Lady Bucs would win their sixth straight Patriot Division title. Amandine Fernandez would finish second overall. Isabel Michel place fifth, with four other Lady Bucs coming in at 9th through 12th to secure the win. The Men's Squad only had one runner participating. Dillon Benipayo finished in 9th place. They next compete on Saturday-15-October in the Bergen County Group Championships. This will take place the Darlington Park Racecourse.
The Bogota Soccer Bucs traveled to Butler and played the Bulldogs. Bogota would score four times in the first half. They then added 3 more goals after the restart. Butler would score once in the second half. The Bucs would win the game by the score of 7-1. Shawn Tarquino scored a career high of four goals. Thier record is now 2-7-1. They next play on Friday-7-October against Eastern Christian. This will take place on Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park with a 4:00p Kick-off.
Tuesday-4-October
The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team traveled to Immaculate Heart Academy to play the Blue Eagles. The Blue Eagles would win the match 2-0 (25-15 : 25-12). Bogota's record is now 11-1. They next play on Thursday-6-October when they travel to Lodi to play Immaculate Conception starting at 4:00p. The Lady Bucs have been seeded #2 in the Bergen County Women's Volleyball Tournament. They will play # 31 Garfield on Saturday-8-October. This will take place in Speary Gym with a start date to be announced later.
