Continuing
Bogota
 Starting on Monday-3-October will be the start of Leaf Season. Homeowners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street, along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is asked that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding, or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -19- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

Bogota
The Bogota Public Library will have an Adventure Storytime at 3:30p in-person and online. Registration is required. There are 8 in-person seats available. The Bogota Public Library will host their Food for Though meeting starting at 7:00p. They will be discussing "How High We Go in the Dark" by Sequioia Nagamatsu.  Copies are now available in the Library. The Womens support group "Never Alone Again" and the Bergen County Food Security Task Force is offering hot meals to go curbside pick-up every Friday starting at 5:00p This will be

Saturday-29-October
Bogota

The Bogota Recreation Department will be hosting its annual Bogota Fall Festival. This will take place in Olsen Park Bogota, NJ.  The festival is scheduled to start at 12:00n. There will be a youth costume parade starting at 12:30p. The Costume parade with begin at Steen School in their playground Activities planned are Arts & Crafts, Games, a pumpkin patch, bounce house and other activities. 
The Costume Parade will start at 11:40 a at Steen School. The march will begin at 11:55a from Steen School. They will move from Steen down W. Main.st to Olsen Park. The Bogota Police Department will escort the marchers to the park. All ages are welcomed to participate.
This event is free to the Public.

Saturday-29-October
Ridgefield Park, NJ
The Village of Ridgefield Park Board of Recreation will hold their Rag-A-Muffin Parade beginning at 11:00a. It will start at Euclid and Poplar St. Check- in is at 10:30a. There are seven divisions starting with Newly Born to Three years old. The oldest division is for Students 8 years and older. There is 1 group division, 1 rolling division, and 1 division for non-residents. At the end, of the parade, prizes will be awarded, with popcorn and entertainment following. There is no enter fee. Ridgefield Park, NJ
Ridgefield Park Police Department will be having their next Operation Take back event. This will take place on Saturday October 29 from 10:00a to 2:00p. This is a joint effort between Ridgefield Park Police Dept. and the DEA to help people dispose of old medications. A box will be placed on the inside the entrance of Police Headquarters, located at the Park St. entrance. Citizens can use it anonymously, and all types of medications will be accepted. This includes Over-the-Counter medication to Prescription drugs. The box will be pick-up by the DEA and be dispose of in a safe & environmentally responsible way.

   The Trinity Lutheran Church will hold their annual " Blessing of the Animals" service. This will take place in the Portico in the front of the church. The service will start at 11:00a. Any household pet is welcomed to take part in the service and is open to the public

Bogota (at Clifton) This is rescheduled from Sunday-23-October
   The Bogota Marching Buccaneer Band will participate in the 75th North Jersey Band Festival at the Clifton Stadium.  This will start at 4:00p with Bogota scheduled to be the 11th band to perform. Bogota has been the only High School band to attend all 75 festivals. Tickets are $10.00 in advance, and $15.00 at the gate. Tickets may be purchased from any band member. The Ridgefield Park Elks lodge #1506 will host their Trunk or Treat starting at 12:00n. This will be held in the Elks Lodge Parking lot located off Cedar St. For more information, please contact Billie Jean Albolino at 201-3629

The next games of the Big Mike’s 3 v 3 Co-ed Basketball League will take place. The first game is scheduled for a 6:30p tip-off. All games will be played at Lincoln School starting at 6:30p and continue until the playoffs will on Mondays November 7 and 14.
