Bogota Council

On Thursday-8-June the Bogota Borough Council had their Work session meeting for the month.
The first item discussed was a proposal to lease Borough vehicles from Enterprise Fleet Management. This would allow the company to provide the Borough the opportunity to lease Police Cars, and possible vehicles for the Volunteer Fire Department and the Department of Public Works.  After a lengthy debate the Council approved to direct the Borough Attorney to draft a contract to lease four Police Cars from Enterprise.   This was passed by a 4 to 3 vote. Another discussion was to appoint Mr. Jim Moore as Acting Recreation Director until the new Full-Time Director position is filled.
The Council then voted on three Ordinances.  The first was to prohibit short term rentals (under 30 days) with in the Borough. The second was to authorize Public Improvements and acquisition of additional, or replacement equipment.  The third Ordinance voted on was to an amendment to the 2023 Municipal Budget. All Ordinances were passed by unanimous vote.
The resolutions on the Consent Agenda were passed by unanimous vote. One item of note was approval of Mr. Devon Bondini to Hook & Ladder Co. #1
