Weekend Events

Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the Weekend starting on Thursday-5-March. Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Until 31-August 2020

The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a. This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. The Bogota  Public Library will begin a story time reading  starting at 4:00p .  Each week varies for theme and age group. 
The monthly schedule will be:
  • First Thursday of the month - Baby Storytime (Ages 0-2)
  • Second Thursday of the month-Bilingual Storytime (All ages)
  • Third Thursday of the month- Storytime (All ages)
  • Fourth Thursday of the month- Bilingual Storytime (All ages)

The Bogota  Public Library will  host a Author Visit. This will feature Sara Devine  author of " Jared's Last Carrot.   The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  It will take place Council Chambers on the second floor of the Bogota Borough Hall. This is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

     Bixby School  PTO will be hosting a Family Bingo Night. This will be held in the Bixby Gymnasium located at 25 Fisher Ave. Bogota, NJ Doors will open at 7:00p

Friday-6-March
Englewood, NJ
 The Black Box Performing Arts Centre a concert by The Reggie Pittman & Loren Daniels Quartet. There will be two show. The first at 8:00p then a second at 11:00p  
This will be held at The Black Box Performing Arts Center located   at 49 East Palisade Ave. Englewood, NJ  Tickets are priced at $20.00 per person in advance. $25.00 for Adults. at the door.    The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop for young athletes in Bogota  This will be the first of four Saturday's to encourage Students to learn more about how learning any sport can be beneficial in everyday life. It will be in two separate age groups.  One group for anyone ages from 2-7 will run from  11:00a. to noon.  All Students who participate must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian throughout the event. This is a free event, but anyone attending is asked to register with the library in advance.

    The St. Joseph's School in Bogota will hold their annual Family Pasta Night and Talent Show. Tickets are $12.00 for anyone 13 years of age and Older, $8.00 12 years of age and younger in Advance. $15.00 for anyone 13 years of age and Older, $10.00 12 years of age and younger at the door. Doors open at 6:30 . This will take place in the St. Joseph's Gymnasium located at 131 E.Ft. Lee Rd Bogota, NJ

 The Bogota Public  Library will host a  digital skills training week. This will start with
 One-on-one résumé assistance will take place from March 9 through March 14. Consultation are  by appointment only. Additional programs include "Advanced Interviewing Techniques" on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m., presented by New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development, and "Power Your Job Search with Google Tools" on Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m.

The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office.
