2022 New Jersey State Group 1 Champions

   On Sunday-13-November the Bogota Lady Bucs won a fourth straight New Jersey Group 1 Women's Volleyball Championship. The Lady Bucs played the Delaware Valley Lady Terriers at Franklin High School. Delaware Valley had the first serve, but Bogota would score the opening point. The set was soon tied at one a piece, then the Lady Bucs would retake the lead. A series of three-point runs open the wider lead for Bogota.  Delaware Valley would keep the set close   staying two to three behind. Lady Terriers' Shylee Oher would serve 5 straight points and put her team ahead 13-11. When Bogota forced a side out Angeline Buhler served the Lady Bucs back into the lead scoring 6 times for a 19-13 advantage.  After one more point by Delaware Valley the Lady Bucs Gianna Estevez served the final 5 points and give Bogota a 25-14 first set win.
  In the second set Bogota served first and get a 1-0 lead. The Lady Terriers then tied the set and took a 5-4 lead. When the Lady Bucs had the serve again Jenelly Jimenez used this chance to lead Bogota to score nine points and a 14-5 lead. Delaware Valley stopped that run only to lose possession.  Ashana Caviness ended her Senior year buy serving the final 10 straight time to give Bogota a 25-6 set win and a 2-0 Match victory.
  This would be Bogota's fourth straight Group 1 Championship. With no group tournament played in 2019.  This would also be the second time Bogota have four consecutives Group 1 titles in 12 years. This will also mark the 12th Group Championship in school history.  Which puts then fourth in all time Group titles in the state of New Jersey. The Lady Bucs finishes with a 28-2 record.  This season they would win their 13 straight Group 1 North 1 Sectional title and their 24th straight Divisional Championship.
   Bogota's Ashana Caviness had a match high with 13 Kills. Gianna Estevez had 14 Digs for Bogota. Delaware Valley's Abbey Bivona lead her team with 6 Kills, 11 Digs and 3 Blocks. Bogota's Mia Pimentel recorded 24 Assists.  Shylee Oher had 5 assist for the Lady Terriers.
