Bogota
Leaf season started on Tuesday-10-October until Monday-18-December. Homeowners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street, along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is asked that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding, or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -18- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up. 
                                                       


 
Thursday-2-November Bogota The Bogota Public Library will have a Children Storytime at 10:30a in-person. Thursday-2-November Teaneck, NJ The Teaneck Farmers Market continues. The market is open every Thursday until 16-November and runs from Noon to 6:00p It is located in the Municipal Parking lot at Garrison Ave & Beverly Rd. Friday-3-November Teaneck, NJ The Womens support group "Never Alone Again" and the Bergen County Food Security Task Force is offering hot meals to go curbside pick-up every Friday starting at 5:00p This will be held at their resource center located at 668 American Legion Dr. Teaneck, NJ. Ridgefield Park
Ridgefield Park Arts Association will hold their Fall Market and Festival. This will be held in Fellowship Park at 11:00a. With Vendors, Food Trucks and live music. Ridgefield Park, NJ
The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will host a Country Night starting at 6:00p. A donation of $25.00 per person, which includes Dinner music and Line Dancing instructions. For information or to reserve a seat please contact Anthony Perrone at 201-914-8524. Proceeds will benefit the Polar Plunge.

Sunday-5-November
Clifton, NJ
The Bogota Marching Buccaneer Band will participate in the 76th North Jersey Band Festival at the Clifton Stadium.  This will start at 4:00p with Bogota scheduled to be the 15th band to perform.  Bogota has been the only High School band to attend all 76 festivals. Tickets are $15.00 at the gate. 
Clifton Stadium is located at 350 Piaget Ave. Clifton NJ. 






Monday-6-November
Bogota     
The Bogota Public Library will host their Teen Game Day. This will take place in the second floor Senior Center. starting at 3:45p Registration required.

Tuesday-7-November
Bogota Election Day
  General Elections for 2023 in the State of New Jersey will take place on Tuesday-6-June.  The polls will be opening at 6:00a and will remain open until 8:00p.
The Public schools of the Bogota Board of Education will be closed to allow for voting. 
 
Candidates are listed in order as seen on the sample ballot.

Bogota Borough Mayor one four-year term.
- For the Democratic party: Ms. Mary Ellen Murphy
- For the Republican party: Ms. Daniele Fede

This year both Candidates for the Bogota Mayoral will be women. This marks the first time that Bogota will have a Female Mayor.              
           

Bogota Borough Council two three year terms.
- For the Democratic party: Ms. Lisa Kohles and Ms. Diana Vergara
- For the Republican party:  Mr. Michael Connors and Mr. Marco Navarro

Bergen County Commissioners two, three-year terms
- For the Democratic party:  Incumbent Ms. Joan Voss, and Mr. Rafael Marte 
- For the Republican party: Ms. Mary Jo-Ann Guinchard and Ms. Agninshalah Collins
 
New Jersey State Legislation  
State Senate in the 37 NJ Legislative District
One four-year term
- For the Democratic party: Incumbent Mr. Gordon Johnson
- For the Republican party: Ms. Dierdre Paul

General Assembly in the 37 NJ Legislative District
Two two-year terms
- For the Democratic party: Incumbent Ms. Shama Haider, and Incumbent Ms. Ellen Park
- For the Republican party:  Ms. Katherine Lebovics and Mr. Robert Bedoya, 

Bogota Board of Education
Three, Three-year terms

The General 
Election will be on Tuesday-7-Novoember 2023 with the polls opening at 6:00a and remaining open until 8:00p.

Polls are located at the at:
-- For Districts 1& 6 it is the Bogota Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St.
   Districts 1&6 is that part of the Borough located West of the Railroad tracks.

-- For Districts 2&3 it is the Gym of Bogota High School at 1 Henry Luthin Pl.  please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the building.
  Districts 2& 3 is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & North of Beechwood Ave

-- For Districts 4&5 it is in the Gym of the Roy Bixby School at Maplewood & Fischer Aves.
     Districts 4 &5 is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & South of Beechwood Ave.
