On Thursday-24-July, the Bogota Recreation Department in cooperation with the Bogota Public Library hosted their second movie for the Summer Season. This night’s presentation was the film “A Minecraft Movie.” This took place in-front of the Band Shell in Olsen Park. The inflatable screen was set-up by Premier Productions. Snacks were provided by the Recreation Department.
There were table set up to give away items for the families in attendance. The Recreation Department had Gl0w Sticks and snacks. The Bogota Public Library offered Pen, Stickers and Rungs. While Bacsa had other snacks and colouring Books.
About 100 people, including Children and their Families watched the movie from their own blankets or chairs. With a couple lines of younger children needing to sit on the grass, as close to the screen as they could get.
The next event is the Thursday concert with the music by “Summer Queens of Rock.” This will take place on Thursday-7-August starting at 6:30p. It will be held in the Band Shell at Olsen Park.
The next Outdoor movie with Thursday-21-August in-cooperation with the Bogota Public Library at 7:00p. (or at Sunset) will be "Wicked".
These are free events opened to the Public. It is suggested that everyone attending bring their own chairs or blankets.
