Bogota Community Alliance

18-Dec. 2012
The Bogota Community Alliance held a Holiday party on Sat. 15-Dec. to help celebrate their first year as part of the Borough. The BCA was formed in December of 2011 to help raise awareness of the diversity of Bogota, and how to build a stronger community of all it's residents. One of the first goals of the BCA is to help new, and recently arriving families to Bogota, to become part of it's social and cultural fabric. Another part of what the BCA would like to do reach out to the established residents of the Borough to find out what is special about Bogota, and how any new resident can help make it even better for the future. One way the BCA is trying to reach out to all residents is by sponsoring future community based events so all the residents will feel to join together and have a relaxing time. Another idea of the BCA is to have a town-hall gathering with a member of the various volunteer organization present to explain what the do in the Borough, and the importance of volunteering to Bogota.
The Bogota Community Alliance wants to be a civic based organization with no political doctrine on it's agenda. It would like the freedom to work with all the citizens of Bogota, and to find out what would be the best way to keep the feeling of a small family friendly town in New Jersey. The BCA also would like to be apart on how to help grow with the Borough as time moves forward.
