Continuing 
From 30-July to 14-August a fund raising web-site for Bogota Public Schools has been set-up aid those Students needing supplies for the upcoming school year. This is a “You Give Goods” page which will collect donated  supplies for the Students at Steen, Bixby, and Bogota High School by the start of the 2019-20 school year.  On the  “You Give Goods” web-site Individual, or Business, can purchase needed items for the Students of the Bogota  Public Schools.

 The Bogota Public  Library will have their Youth's Sewing Club meeting.  This is  open to  Students ages 9-18.  This will teach anyone the art of sewing. There will be a chance to learn machine, and hand sewing as well as shown different project and types of material. Bogota
  Starting this day and running to Wednesday-14-August Cover Stitches will be at the Bogota High School with uniforms for sale. This will take place from 2:00p to 7:00p at the High School.
 Uniforms for both the Junior High School ( 7th& 8th grades) and the Senior High School  (grades 9-12) will be able to be purchased.
   Shirts and fleece pullovers (with the school logo), shorts, slacks, skirts and Capri pants in colors beige or black by Dickies brand, are only permitted.  Pants may be purchased through this vendor or any other that carries the Dickies brand  Hooded sweatshirts and “Skinny” pants are not permitted.
   7-8th grade students must wear a gold colored shirt with the school emblem.  9-12th grade students have the option of purple, black or grey colored shirts with the school emblem. For more information please visit their web site at: www.backtoschooluniformstore.com

The Bogota Public Library will hold its Pokemon Go Visit to Battle, Train, and Trade Pokemon using the Pokemon Go App.  Players must be level 10 or higher to compete

     The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

   The Bogota Police Emergency Service Youth Academy will hold their graduation ceremonies for Class 08 in the Bogota  High School Gym starting at 7:00p This is a free event and is open to the public. This will be the seventh graduating  class of the Bogota Emergency  Service Youth Academy  which is being recognized as one of the premier Youth Academy in the State of New Jersey. Ridgefield Park, NJ 
   The next performance of the McGowan Park Concert Series will feature Waldwick Community Band.  The concert is scheduled to start at 7:00p in McGowan Park located on the Bergen Turnpike in Ridgefield Park, NJ It is advised that anyone attending bring their own lawn chairs, or blankets. In case of rain or other weather conditions the concert will be held at the Knights of Columbus hall located at 106 Bergen Ave  The concerts will take place every Wednesday until 28-August. The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a. . This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  This will be held in the Council Chambers* located on the second floor  of 375 Larch Ave. Bogota NJ   This meeting is open to the public. 
*This meeting may be moved to the Senior Centre

Thursday-15-August
Teaneck, NJ
This the Teaneck Farmers Market will be open for this season. Shoppers will be able purchase locally grown  and produced food items.  This annual event will be every Thursday from June to the end of October. The stand open at 12:00 noon and continue until 6:00p   The Teaneck Farmers Market is located in the municipal parking lot along Beverly Rd Teaneck, NJ. There is additional parking available near by.

   The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. Sunday-18-August
Ridgefield Park, NJ
  The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.
The Elks lodge is located at the Corner of Spruce & Cedar Sts. Ridgefield Park, NJ
