On Thursday- 28- November the Teaneck VFW Post # 1429 and Age Friendly Teaneck will co-sponsor a Thanksgiving Lunch for Senior Citizens, Veterans, Emergency Service Works and any Family who would like to enjoy a meal on Thanksgiving Day. This will take place at Rain located at 400 Cedar Ln. Teaneck, NJ. The lunch will run from 11:00a to 1:00p. The event will be hosted by Hosted by Dean Kazinci, Elie Y. Katz, Mohammed Hameeduddin, Mark Schwartz, & Food Pantry Director Janice Preschel. Mike Hennig will be preparing the meal.
Food will be donated by Dougies, Chopstix, and Butterflake all of Teaneck. They are also asking anyone who can to volunteer to help cook, and serve the meal. They will also need volunteers to provide transportation to and from the event for those in need of that assistance. There will be collection for shampoo, body wash and other personal hygiene products to be collected by a local food pantry.
