Summer workouts

16-July-2020
Starting  on the week of 13-July the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association allowed for the State School Districts to have supervision workouts for fall sports.  The guidelines set are to only have  one session a day for no more than 90 minutes. Which will include 10 minute warm-up and cool-down period. Along with water break as needed. All workouts must be held out doors and with out physical contact. Student Athletes  must be placed in groups of no more than ten, and the group must stay remain the same throughout  the session. Temperatures must be taken and recorded for an individual to be allowed to participate. When not engaged in “high-intensity aerobic activity” Students must wear face mask and be in a safe distance. Coach must wear face mask and be in a safe distance at all time. There can be no sharing of equipment, and locker room (except for restrooms) can not be used. This first phase will last until the end of July.  After that it will be determined if the next phase of practices can move forward.  There will be a two week break from all live action meetings from, late August to Mid-September when School will allowed to reopen.
The regular season will begin one month later than normal in October. Playoffs and other post season game will be determined as the season is taken place.
The Bogota Football Bucs are holding their workouts in the late afternoon after the hottest temperatures of the day have passed.  The team was separated into three groups. One was just for Freshmen, or first year players. The second was for those who play the interior line positions. While the last group for the offenses players. A few specialized positions, such as Kickers and Quarterbacks would work-out on their own.  Coaches worked with the players to improve, and teach basic skills. Some as simple as foot placement before a play starts. While other drills focus on rebuilding stamina and timing.
Coaches wore masked the entire time, and showed positioning techniques and number of ways , to maintain a safe distance. A final team meeting, to allow Student to cool down, took place over a larger area than usually with all participants wear their masks.
