On Friday March 11 All Schools Special Needs Foundation held their 9th Casino Night at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ridgefield Park. All Schools Special Needs is a non-profit organization to assist special needs children, and Adults, in the Ridgefield Park, NJ community. They proved physical and medical equipment, educational supplies, care, field trips and other resources that they normally would be un-obtainable for varying reasons like cost or availability. Thier board includes Ridgefield Park Public Schools staff and faculty. This allows them to help to foster a special relationship between our group and Teachers, Administrators and Parents of the special needs Children in the community.
The attendees had a choice of Roulette, Craps, and Blackjack, while listening to live music from Scarlet Fever, and the Sandy Stones Trio. High School Students served as waiters offering hot Hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening.
The event was highlighted when Foundation President Mr. Bobby Lee announced the newest members to their Hall of Fame. They are, posthumously to ,Mr. Ed Sweeney. Mr. Sweeney's award was accepted by Mr. Dillion Rogers. Also honoured were Ms. Kelly Sepp, Ms. Dawn Powers, Ms. Melissa Bergman, and Ms. Andrea Donohue. Then Mr. Lee was presented a plaque thanking him for his work helping the Special Needs Children of Ridgefield Park from "Them Bitches"
Upcoming fundraisers are Thier 7th Golf Outing on Wednesday- 22- August. This will be held at the Blue Hills Golf Course in Pearl River, NY. And a 5 K walk and run, on Sunday-11-December in Veterans Park Ridgefield Park, NJ
