Tuesday-15-August was the third day for Class 01 of the Bogota Junior Police Academy. This Duty Day started with a March around Bogota. This was their chance to show part of their training to follow instructions and work together as a single unit. When they returned to Steen School, they took a rest break to rehydrate. After the that the Cadets were separated into two groups of Female and Male Students. Each group attended a class on Personal Hygiene given by Nurse Anna Geraghty, Ms. Geraghty was the Program Coordinator of the former Bogota Police and Emergency Services Youth Academy.
While one group was in class the other stayed in the Moore Gym and took part in more Drill and Ceremony Training. Since these were in smaller groups the Instructors could take a little extra time to talk about small details that may needed to be worked on.
After the Cadets head their Lunch time, they traveled to a local gun range where the Cadets were shown different types of firearms. There was a demonstration about to properly, and safely, use firearms along with the power these weapons have.
