BHS 100th Anniversary Home-coming Weekend.

 22-October-2025

On Friday, the Bogota High School will begin its 100th Anniversary Home-coming Weekend. Opened in September of 1924 which enabled the Students of the Borough to attend their own High School after having gone to Leonia. Students from Teaneck also attended with the first Graduation class in 1927 having 111 Seniors. Teaneck Student stopped attending in 1931. In 1929 Students from Maywood begin coming to Bogota High School. From 1933 to 1939 Little Ferry Students also attended. In 1968 the Students from Maywood moved to Hackensack High School.
Since the opening, a six-room addition took place in 1937. In 1968 the land behind the High School was purchased from the Township of Teaneck. This added space for 5 more classroom, the Gym, Library and Cafeteria. Starting in 1992 the Seventh and Eight Grade Student  started to take classes in the building making it a Junior/ Senior High School. When the District enter an agreement with St. Joseph Church to use their school building in 2021. This became the Bogota Middle School for Students in Sixth and Seventh Grades with the Eighth Class staying in the High School.
Along with the additions to the Building Bogota High School has refurbished most of the Classrooms. Adding high speed internet connections, with electronic “white-board” in all Classrooms. Other improvement was replacing the court in Speary Gym adding new bleachers, lighting, air-conditioning and a new weight room.
A new parking lot added 6 more spaces, solar panels place on the roof, & other district buildings, and more secure entrances. The Auditorium is undergoing a full renovation with a target date of mid-December.
In a statement by District Superintendent Mr. Damian Kennedy  said :
