Bogota Sports

   Some results of the games play by teams from  Bogota.
   The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team had a 2-0 (25-8: 25-8) victory at Palisades Park on Friday.  Three of the Lady Bucs score two Aces, Kelliann Brown, Cathleen Macaroy, and Amanda Manzo. Ms Manzo also lead with with 20 Assists. Ms Macaroy had team highs of 6 Service Points to go with 6 Digs. Ma. Brown lead the team with 10 Kills for the Match. Tiana Henry again lead in Block with 2.
    The Lady Bucs next compete in the  Northern Valley  Invitational going on Saturday 13- Sept. with the Matches starting at 9:00a. This is being held at Old Tappan High School located at 100 Central Ave Old Tappan, NJ
   Their next league Match is on Tuesday 16-Sept.  against Emerson. This will be played at Speary Gym with a start scheduled to be at 4:00p
   The Bogota Football Bucs opened their 2014 season with a 14-7 upset of Hasbrouck Heights on Friday Night.  The Bucs start the season with a new Quarterback Brennen Rogers and a more attacking defense which has all players ready to play different positions as the game progresses. With that Bogota was able to hold the #18 rank Aviators  to only one major score. The Bogota next return to open the new look Feigel Field on Saturday 20- Sept. against Emerson. Kick-off is Scheduled for 1:00p.
    The Bogota Cross Country Squads  ran in the 2014 Season Opener Invitational meet at Darlington Park on Friday. The Lady Bucs Squad placed third out of seven in  Girls Varsity "C" meet. Jillian O'Brien placed 10th with Alanah O'Brien coming in 12th.
   The Boys squad won their Varsity "C" meet against 10 other squads.  Bogota Placed 5 runners in the top ten. They were lead by Quinn Geraghty finishing third  followed by Andy Jaipersaud (5th),Chris River (6th) Daniel Daurio (8th) and Michael Gioiosa (9th)
  The Cross Country Squads next meet is on Wednesday 17-Sept. against Midland Park &  Palisades Park at the Darlington Park Race Course with the first race scheduled at 4:14p.
