Announcements & Sports

   Some added events happening for the weekend starting Friday- 12- Sept.
   The Bogota Junior Football Teams and the Junior Cheerleading squads will be holding a car wash on Saturday 13-Sept. This will take place at the Bogota Recreation Center located at 162 W.Main St. Bogota, NJ. It will run from 10:00a to 2:00p ( rain date is Sun. 14-Sept.) The price for any vehicle is $5.00 There will be Cupcakes & Beverage also available for purchase.


   On Sunday 14- Sept  Bergen County is holding a Family Fit Day in Van Saun Park in Paramus , NJ. This will be held in Pavilion #1 with in the park. It will run from 9:00a to 1:30p, with free exercising classes for all ages. Some of the exercises will include Yoga, Dancing, Kick-boxing and Zumba.   In Bogota Sports
   The Bogota Lady Bucs had a 2-0 ( 25-23 : 25-16) victory at Glen Rock.  Kelliann Brown  and Cathleen Macaroy both had 6 Service Points. Ms. Brown also had 8 Kills & Ms. Macaroy lead in Aces with 2 & Digs with 18. Samantha Gioiosa had a team high of 14 Kills, Amanda Manzo  lead with 26 Assists. Tiana Henry & Aydelina Cid both lead with 4 Blocks apiece. 
  The Lady Bucs next play at Cresskill on Thursday 11-Sept with a 4:oop start.

  The Bogota Cross Country Squads both ran to victory in their opening races. Both Squad ran against Waldwick  and Park Ridge/Emerson   at Darlington Park.  The Girls scores were 24  to 31 against Park Ridge/Emerson, and 15-50  against Waldwick. Some of the top Bogota finishers were Jillian O'Brien  coming in first followed by Alanah O'Brien second with Anais Fernandez taking fourth.
  The Boys had Bogota posting a 20-42 win over Park Ridge/Emerson. And a 15-50 win over Waldwick. The boys place nine runners in the top 13 with Michael Gioiosa  taken second followed  Chris Rivera,  Daniel Daurio, and Quinn Geraghty. all within two seconds from one another.
  Their next meet is the Season Open meet on Friday 12-Sept at Darlington Park and their next League meet is against Midlane Park and Palisade Park on Wednesday 17 -sept at Darlington Park in Mahwah, NJ that start time is scheduled to be at 4:15p.
