New Fire Chief

  The Bogota Fire Dept. elected, and sworn in a new Fire Chief, Assist chief , and Battalion Chief last night. Chip Grienger was appointed as the new Fire Chief  to replace last year chief Scott Woegen. Dan Klima was elected as new Assist Chief. And James Berthold is now the New Battalion Chief. In addition  Engine Co. 1 was awarded the Chief's Trophy as the outstanding fire company for the passing year. Louise Kern announced  that in the school year 2012-13 the Bogota Fire Dept. will have a program to teach the Sixth grade students in the three Borough school learn more about fire safety.
  The meeting was started with a moment of silence for the loss of Councilman Joseph Noto, and other members of the fire fighting community through out the past year.
