Lady Bucs Volleyball

7-Oct.-2013
The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team fell short of their defense of the Garden State Classic Championship. After a come from behind victory over Walter Panas High School of New York 2-1
(21-25: 25-18: 26-24) had to immediately take on the Immaculate Heart Academy Blue Eagles. IHA started strong, and never gave Bogota a chance to settle down. Even during moments of long set plays IHA had players in ready positions to capitalize on any Lady Buc mistake.  The Blue Eagle game away with a
2-0 (25-10: 25-11) . This lead the way for Immaculate Heart Academy to capture their first Classic Championship by beating Penfield High School of New York. 2-1 (25-15: 23-25: 25-19).
Lady Bucs Coach Brad DiRupo wa proud of how his team performed during the tournament. A hard fought win against Panas H.S., and a tough lost to IHA, he feels that his team will continue to work to improve, as they get set to resume league play.  The Lady Bucs next play Palisade Park on Tuesday 9-Oct. starting at 4:00p. This is the first of five  home games Bogota will play at Speary Gym. Two more this week with Glen Rock on Wednesday 9-Oct starting at 7:00p and Emerson on  Thursday 10-Oct with a 4:00p start time.
