Weekends Events and Sports.

  Some of the events and schedule sports in Bogota.
 Sat. 12-October 
  The Steen PTO will be hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday 12- October in Olsen Park Bogota, NJ There will be Multiple Bounce Houses, Pony and Hay Rides, and a  Petting Zoo. There will also be Food and Craft vendors. Tickets for the rides will be $20 for 25 tickets, there will also be bracelet available for $15 that will give unlimited Bounce House access. This is open to all children of grade school age. For older student there is the possibility that Vice Principal Kennedy will sit in as a target for some pie throwing. There will be a live DJ to provide dancing music.  A" Pumpkin Patch" with pumpkins available for purchase, and to decorate. 
  Some of the vendors scheduled to be at the Festival will be a custom T-shirt maker, and a photo booth. Along with a selection of Mums for sale. 
 The PTO is also looking for volunteer help during the Festival. They are needed to run some of the activities as well as with set up and cleaning up of festival items. Any Parent  who volunteers will receive ten complimentary tickets for the rides. Any one wishing to Volunteer should contact Eileen Lewis at  or Kristin Meberg at

Sun. 13-October 

   Bogota Community Alliance  Along with the Bogota Recreation Commission will be a " Breakfast with the Princesses" a the Bogota Recreation Center. This is a fundraising event  for  Miss Bogota  2013, which is a beauty pageant open to all female students of the four schools located in Bogota. Students from the ages 5 to 18 years are eligible to participate.  
   There are three age groups:
   - Ages : 5-10  years old for Little Miss Bogota
   - Ages : 11-14 years old for Miss Teen Bogota
  -  Ages : 15-18 years old for Miss Bogota
  Students from Steen, Bixby, and St.Joseph's School as well as Bogota Junior/Senior  are all eligible to enter. 
  The Breakfast will be at Bogota Recreation Center located at 162 W. Main St. Bogota , NJ. Doors will open at 9:00a and it will run to 11:00a . Tickets are $5.00 for Students and $7.00 for adults. Process from this breakfast will go towards prizes the contestants.
   There will also be a Talent show on Saturday 26- October to be held at Bogota High School.  Entrance fee for  talent show will be $10.00

 Sporting events
   The Bogota Junior Bucs play at Palisade Park on Saturday 12- Oct.  The Pee- Wee game starts at 6:00p with the Junior & Senior games follow. 

   The Bogota High School  have a  home  game at Feigel Field against Wallington with a kick-off scheduled 1:00p 

The Lady Bucs Volleyball team plays a home match against Emerson at Speary Gym starting at 4;00p They also have a match  against Midland Park  at Speary Gym with a 7:00p start.

The Bogota Girls & Boys Cross Country squads run in the NJIC championship meet on Monday 14-Oct. starting at 2:30p
