On Saturday the team of Laura's Mariners held a pasta dinner in the Recreation Building in Bogota. This is party of their effort to raise money for the participation in the New York Avon Walk for Breast Cancer which will take part on Sat.& Sun, 19& 20 October. A group of co-workers have gotten together to form the team of " Laura's Mariners" in honour of their friend Laura Marin who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Started three years ago by Tricia Thompson, the team now includes Ayesha Ware, Janelle Maize, Natasha Trenard along with Ms. Marin herself.
The event included friends, and other co-workers, to share an evening of food and family togetherness, as they came to help support Laura Marin, and other women like her. To donate to 'Laura's Mariners" go to their donation page at
