Election Day

5-Nov.-2013
   Tuesday is the general Election Day in the State of New Jersey. Polls are open from 6:00a to 8:00p. Races to be decided are for the
In Bogota there are two races Two seats on the Borough Council are to be voted on the candidates are listed by order on the ballot.
- Republican Christopher Keleman & John G. Mitchell
- Democratic Arthur Konigsberg & Wanda Uceta
School Board
Eight Candidates are running for the three seats available :
Pauline McDonnell,Ingrid Brito, John Powner, Gloria Clark,
Michael Cabana, Santiago DeLaCruz, Richard Zayas-Bazan, & Charles Severino

In County & State wide election:
 Office of Governor: the Major Candidates are:
- Republican Chris Christie
- Democratic Barbara Buono
State Senator
- Republican Paul Duggan
- Democratic Loretta Weinberg
State Assembly
- Republican Gino Tessaro & Dierdre Paul
- Democratic Gordon Johnson & Valerie Vainieri- Huttle
County Sheriff
- Republican Michael Saudino
- Democratic James Mordaga
Board of Freeholders for Bergen County
- Republican John Mitchell, John Felice & Maura DeNicola
- Democratic James Tedesco, Christopher Tully, & Lorraine Waldes

There  are also three ballot question:
-1-To permit  money from existing games of chance to help support Veterans organizations.
-2-To have a State Constitutional Amendment to a set the minimum wage based on the cost of Living increases.
-3-To allow Bergen County to use it's Open Space fund to also purchase properties in flood -prone areas.


Polls are located at the at :
-- For Districts 1& 6 it is the Bogota Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St.
   Districts 1&6 is that part of the Borough located West of the Railroad tracks.

-- For Districts 2&3 it is the Gym of  Bogota High School at 1 Henry Luthin Pl.  please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the Building.
  Districts 2& 3  is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & North of Beechwood Ave

--  For Districts 4&5 it is  in the Gym of the Roy Bixby School at Maplewood & Fischer Aves.
     Districts 4 &5  is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & South of Beechwood 
Ave.
