    Some new events for October.


   Bixby School will host it's annual Fall Dance. This is for any 5th & 6st grade Student who attends Bixby, Steen, or St. Joseph's schools  Tickets are $5, there will be a live DJ and snacks provided. Anyone wishing to attend must bring the permission slip to the dance. All Student must be signed in  & out by an Adult. If another Adult, or sibling 18 years or older will be picking up the Student information about that person must be provided at sign-in. No Student will be permitted to leave with at an Adult. 
   This will start at 7:00p and go until 9:30p. It will be held in the Bixby Gym located at 25 Fisher Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Friday-23 -Oct to Sunday-26-Oct

The Bixby Class of 2016  is holding a clothes drive  in front of the School. They are collecting new & and gently used items such as clothing, bedding, curtains & towels. They will also accept outerwear like hats, gloves, scarves , and even backpacks .  Clean stuffed animal and hard toys  may also be donated. It is asked that all donations be securely bagged and placed on the tarp at the corner of Fisher & Chestnut Sts. It is also asked that shoes be placed in a separate bag and marked as shoes. 
   The drop off will run from Friday 23- Oct. to 9:00a Monday -26-Oct.  Process going to the Bixby Class of 2016. Donated items will be picked up on Monday 26-Oct at 9:00a


   Bogtoa Volunteer Fire Dept. Hose Co. #2 will host their annual Pancake Breakfast at the Central Ave Firehouse.It will start at 8:00a and got until 1:00p. Tickets are  $8.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Students. It will take place at the Hose #2  Firehouse located at 164 Central Ave. in Bogota, NJ. This is the seventh year for this breakfast with the process going to help maintain and run the Firehouse.

    The Bogota Fire Dept.  along with the Rescue and First aid Squads are all volunteer organizations.  For more information about volunteering please to to  or call; 201-342-1736 ext. 2007.

Bogota Sports

 On Monday-5-Oct. the Bogota Men's Soccer team  lost at Jonathan Dayton  1-5 Nicholas Calabia score Bogota's only goal. Jose Mejia of the Bulldogs had a 3-goal Hat Trick. This moves Bogota record to 4-5. 
They next play at Elmwood Park on Wednesday -7-Oct with a 4:00p kick-off.

   On Tuesday 6-Oct The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team had a 2-0 (25-6: 25-11) victory over Saddle River Day School in Speary Gym. Lisbeth Suarez , Kailana Vasquez, and Amanda Manzo each had match highs of 8 Service Points. Ms. Manzo also recorded 26 Assists. Ms Vasquez also had 4 Aces. Samantha Gioiosa lead the match with 20 Kills. This moves their record to 10-2.
   They next play Thursday -8-Oct at Hawthorne Christian Academy starting at 4:00p.
