Weekend Events


   Some events happening in and around Bogota for the weekend starting on Thursday 8-October.

Saturday-10 -October
  The   St. Joseph's Spirit Sprint  originally scheduled for  Saturday -3-October will now be held on Saturday 10- October.  It will still start at 9:00a. The starting and finish line will be at the Bogota Recreation Center. Same day registration will be taken for a $30 entrance fee. Proceeds will go to Special Olympics and St. Joseph's School. This will be held rain or shine.


Saturday-10 -October

      The Bogota Public library  have extended their  fitness club  Saturday session  into September. The schedule starting time is still 10:30a to 11:30a. This will incorporate a number of different techniques  from the "Team Beachbody® Fit Clubs". This will be a free event to anyone 18 years or older. All fitness levels are welcomed. Anyone who attends must bring their own Yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. Comfortable exercise clothes are recommended. Saturday-10 -October

 The Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post #5561 will be hosting a Oldies but Goodies  fundraising concert in it's Upper Hall.  

   Ticket are available in advance for $20 per person. There is also sponsorship deals available for businesses who wish to contribute. Sponsorship deals will provide  tickets to the concert, advertising in print in the Hall, and electronically during the pre-concert visual presentation.  Deadline for sponsorship deals is Monday 5- October. For more information about the sponsorship deals please call 201-343-9693. Doors will open at 6:30p with the first performance scheduled to start at 7:00p

    Tickets may be purchased at the door if available. All proceeds from this concert will go the  VFW Post #5561 building and program fund.the post #5561 VFW with their effort to have a place where any Veteran who served their Country overseas to have a place to relax and be welcomed at. For more informations or to order tickets please call 201-343-9693. Tickets are now available at the  Post # 5561 Canteen located at 241 West. Shore Ave. 

   The Concert will take place in the Main Hall located upstairs at 214 Leonia Ave. Bogota, NJ

Monday-12 -October

  Columbus Day holiday. Schools will be closed. Most Borough Hall offices will be closed. and there will be no Monday Trash collection.  The collection  day will be on Thursday 15- October.

Tuesday-13 -October

   The Bogota Public library is Scheduled to reopen.

Tuesday-13 -October


 The Bogota Board of Education will have their regularly scheduled meeting and work session.  This meeting will take place in the Cafeteria of the Bogota  High School and start at 7:30p . The Public is invited to attend this meeting. The Cafeteria  is located on the second floor of the High School  at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ.
