On Wednesday 23- March the Bogota Middle School Youth Action Committee sponsored a charity basketball event with process going to the American Heart Association. This was for the 7th & 8th Grade Students show off their basketball skills. The first event was a shooting competition where competitors had two minutes to make as many points for three different areas. A layup, a free throw and a three point shot.
Next was a 7th Grade class vs the 8th Grade class game. This was a wide open game where it was shot first, and play defense later. As the game setted in the Athletes became more focus on the playing the game. Members of the Bogota Men's Varsity team volunteered to officiate and from time to time offer some advice to the possible next members of Bogota Basketball.
