Weekend Events

Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota for the week starting on Friday-11-March.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More event will be added throughout the month.  

Continuing:  
  The Bogota Public Library has set out a box to collect old, and used Crayola coloured makers. Makers collected will be send to the Crayola company to be reprocessed. For more information please visit ther web site at;  http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle

  A Family Orchard Terrace is still searching for their lost dog . This family is serving as a Foster Home for this Dog who will answer to the name Cleo or Celine. She is a 2 year Shepard mix Brown and Black in colour.  The foster family reported Cleo missing on Wednesday 16-Dec after arriving home from work finding a window broken and Cleo missing. Cleo was last seen wearing a red collar decorated with images of bones on it.  Cleo may be familiar with the area along River Rd. She is described as "fearful" and may ran from strangers.  Cleo has been with her Foster Family for only a few weeks so she may be looking for an older home, or more familiar surroundings.

Thursday & Friday -10 & 11 -March

  Every Thursday and Friday until 15-April, The Bogota Public Library in partnership AARP is offer tax preparation.  This is a free service, however an appointment must be scheduled in advanced. Friday-11-March

The Bogota Police Dept. will conduct a seminar about  how to avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.  This will focus on how people are targeted even when having their taxes prepared.  This will take place on Friday 11-March starting at 7:00p and be held at the Bogota Seniors Centre located on the second Floor of the Bogota Library at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.


Saturday-12-March

     The Bogota Recreation Commission will hold their annual Easter Egg in Olsen Park. All Bogota residents who are in fourth grade or younger are invited to participate.  It will be held next to the Olsen Environmental Walkway. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to pass out bags that the children will use for the egg hunt. The first hunt will be for those children in preschool or younger, this will start at 9:00a. The Kindergarten to Second grade will start at 9:20a . With the Grades 3&4 starting at 9:40a.   Parents of all Students in Kindergarten or older are asked to allow the children only hunt for eggs. Preschool and younger Children may have one Parent assist them with gathering eggs. 
  Please be at the walkway 10 minutes before the time of the child's age group is set to start. Rain date is Sunday -13-March at the same time and location

 The next book in the" Food for Thought" to be discussed will be " All the Light We Can See" by Anthony Doerr. starting at 7:00p in on the second floor. Copies are now available at the Library.

 The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
