Week End Events

     Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota for the  weekend starting on Thursday -17- March.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More event will be added throughout the month.

  The Bogota Public Library has set out a box to collect old, and used Crayola coloured makers. Makers collected will be send to the Crayola company to be reprocessed. For more information please visit ther web site at;  http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle

  A Family Orchard Terrace is still searching for their lost dog . This family is serving as a Foster Home for this Dog who will answer to the name Cleo or Celine. She is a 2 year Shepard mix Brown and Black in colour.  The foster family reported Cleo missing on Wednesday 16-Dec after arriving home from work finding a window broken and Cleo missing. Cleo was last seen wearing a red collar decorated with images of bones on it.  Cleo may be familiar with the area along River Rd. She is described as "fearful" and may ran from strangers.  Cleo has been with her Foster Family for only a few weeks so she may be looking for an older home, or more familiar surroundings.

Thursday & Friday -17 & 18 -March

  Every Thursday and Friday until 15-April, The Bogota Public Library in partnership AARP is offer tax preparation.  This is a free service, however an appointment must be scheduled in advanced. The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Friday -18  -March 
Bogota
    The Parents for Bogota Rec Football & Cheerleading  will host  a Movie Night fundraiser. This will feature the movie  "23 BLAST" and will be shown at the Bogota Recreation Center located at  162 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ. The movie is scheduled to start at 6:15p with admission priced at $6.00. Also before or after the movie Students can sign up to be apart of the 2016 Junior Bucs Football teams, or Cheerleaders. 
      Bogota plays in the Bi-County Junior Scholastic Football League (BCJSFL) which consist eight other teams located from Englewood in the North to Secaucus & Weehawken to the South. The teams will  play an a regulation size football field, with all home game will be played at Feigel Field in Bogota.
   All divisions are opened to Girls  and Boys  Students who live-in , or attend any of the  4
schools in Bogota.

- The Pee-Wee is for the youngest players which is for student from 2nd to 4th grade, and are under 11 years of age.
- The Junior division is for those players who are in 5th & 6st grade and are under the age of 13.
- The Senior division are those players who will be in 7th & 8th grade and are younger the 15 years of age.

     Also anyone wanting to join the Rec Cheerleaders may  sign up at this time. The Rec Cheerleaders are the same age groups as the Football  team, and is open to students from other Communities as well.  They will take part at  both the Home and Away games to support the Junior Bucs . 






Friday & Saturday-18 & 19 -March

    The Bogota Fine Arts Dept. will  present " My Fair Lady" as their Spring Musical.  This will take place on Friday and Saturday- 18 & 19 March. Curtain time  for both day the will be at 7:00p. Tickets are priced at $8.00 for Adults and $6.00 for Students and Seniors. Performances will be in the Bogota High School Auditorium located on the first floor of 2 Henry Luthin pl. Bogota, NJ. Process from this show will go to fund the Bogota Drama Club.

Saturday-19 -March 
Bogota
     On Saturday 19-March the Bogota Green team will hold it's second annual Green Fair.  This will take place at the picnic pavilion and in front of the Recreation Center in Olsen Park. This is a free event open to the public.  It will start at 10:00a and run until 1:00p  Some articles include an official opening of  a smoke free Olsen Park.

Saturday-19 -March 
Bogota
   The Bogota Public Library again be hosting a Maker's Day. This year it will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokemon. 
   This will start at 10:00a and go until 1:00p .  This is open to Students of all ages , but it is asked that any Student under 10 years old be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian. This is a free event, but anyone attending is asked to register with the library in advance.   To register for this event, or for more information please  about this and other Library events visit their web site at :  http://www.bogotapubliclibrary.org/

 The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
