Meet & Greet

24-July-2017
On Saturday-22 July the Bogota Library held a meet & greet for photographer Mitzi Michelle Williams Rayner.  Works by Ms Rayner are currently on display in the case of the Library's reading room.  Her show is entitled " Simple Things in Life". It features images from everyday life that may get overlooked.
Mitzi Michelle Williams Rayner has a BA in Home Economics/Family and Child Studies from Montclair State University in New Jersey and an MS in Education from Cairn University in Pennsylvania. She is an early childhood educator and a resident of New Jersey who simply loves the “Simple Things in Life.”  In the early 90's Ms Rayner decided to take a photography class, which introduced her to several aspects of photography such as how to develop film, night photography, black and white photographs, etc.  Today, she still prefers the exquisite detail and distinction of film photography but enjoys the convenience of digital photography.
In 2007, with some prompting of friends and family, she began her photography proprietary called, Simple Things in Life. Now,  she is celebrating this gallery of work through a series of exciting library exhibitions across the tri-state area.  When talking about her approach to photography Ms. Rayner says: I have always been captivated by the beauty of God's creation and His handiwork.  As many children, I took a liking to taking vacation pictures and pictures of friends.  I simply enjoyed taking pictures of life in general.”
She will next be features at the Leonia Public Library in the month of August. This is located at 227 Ft. Lee Rd Leonia , NJ
