Weekend Events

Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota  for the weekend starting on Thursday-20-July  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete. 





















Thursday-20-July
Bogota

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Teaneck, NJ
  The Teaneck Farmers Market will be open from now until Thursday 26-October from 12:00n to 5:00p It is located in the  Beverly Rd parking lot at Garrison Ave  Teaneck, NJ

Hackensack, NJ

   The first of the Main St. Live Concert Series will take place in the Atlantic St. Park in Hackensack. The Concert is schedule to begin at 7:00p and will feature a performance by Matthew Whitaker. This is a free event with limited seating , it is advised to bring a blanket, or folding chairs.

Saturday-22-July
Bogota
    Bogota Beautiful will host their  final Yoga in the Park classes for this Summer. This will take place this Saturday-22-July. Class will be one hour. These will take place each in Olsen Park and start at 9:00a. Classes will be led by a  Professional Yoga instructor. These classes are open to anyone regardless of age, or  experience.  The classes will meet at the Bandshell in Olsen Park depending on the number of attendees classes may be held in the bandshell or on the lawn in front of the bandshell. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact  Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish.  Bogota Beautiful will also have yoga mats available for purchase if needed  Please also visit the same website for more information or to donate to: bogotabeautiful.com

   The Bogota Public Library will host the open of the next showing of art in their reading lounge. This will show the collection of works by Mitzi Rayner.  This will begin at 11:00a and run until 2:00p This is a free event, but anyone attending is asked to register with the library in advance.   To register for this event, or for more information please  about this and other Library events visit their web site at :  http://www.bogotapubliclibrary.org/

Bogota
  The Bogart Memorial Church will host their first outdoor movie night. This will be presented in cooperation with Bogota Beautiful and the Bogota Public Library.  The movie is schedule to start at 8:00p and is free to the public. It will take place in the Bogart Memorial Church's courtyard located at 263 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ. It will feature the most recent version of Beauty and the Beast. Popcorn and water will be available for purchase. It is advised that anyone attending bring their own lawn chairs ,or blankets along with your own snacks. There is limited parking in the area, if possible it is recommended to arrive on foot.

The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Monday-24-July
Hackensack, NJ
   The next session in the City of Hackensack Sunset Yoga series will be held in the Atlantic St. Park. This is schedule to start at 7:30p, and is free to the public. Is this open to anyone wishing to practice, or learn about the benefits of yoga regardless of skill level. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn.
