This Weeks Events

Sunday-2-July


 Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota  for the Month  starting on Sunday-2-July  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

 Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete. 



Monday-3-July
Bogota

    The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Tuesday-4-July
Bogota

The Offices of the Bogota Borough Hall will be closed for the 4th of July Holiday
The Bogota Public Library  will be closed the 4th of July Holiday.
Regular Trash collection will take place on Monday-3- July along with yard waste.



Other 4th of July Events
Ridgefield Park, NJ
    The Village of Ridgefield Park  will have their annual 4th of July Parade starting at 11:30  beginning at Preston and Hudson St. Then will head South on Main St to Brewster Ave.

Hackensack, NJ
   The City of  Hackensack will hold its annual July 4th Celebration at Foschini Park. This will have Game, Rides , and vendors during the day. There will be a performance by the Time Machine Band starting at 7:15p and a Fireworks show schedule for 9:15P

Teaneck, NJ
    Will celebrate the 26th Anniversary of their  4th of July Community event. This will be held in Votee park and run from 10:00a to 2:00p 

Leonia, NJ


  The Leonia Sports Booster Summer Carnival will continue. This is scheduled to run until Sunday 9-July.  Rides open at 5:00p daily until 11:00p on weekdays  and open at 2:00p  11:00p on Weekends and Tuesday  4-July. There will be a fireworks show on Tuesday 4-July after Sunset. 
   The Carnival will take place in the Henry Hoebel area along Ft. Lee Rd  Leonia, NJ

Wednesday-5-July
Bogota
The Bogota will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a.  This will be available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree.in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. Bogota

Wednesday-5-July
Ridgefield Park, NJ


   The next performance  in the McGowan Park Summer Concert series will feature Exsoullence Dance Band with with a mix of music spanning all styles and eras The concert is scheduled to start at 7:00p in McGowan Park located on the Bergen Turnpike in Ridgefield Park, NJ It is advised that anyone attending bring their own lawn chairs ,or blankets. Rain date is the next day Thursday-29- June.  The concerts will take place every Wednesday until 31-August. For more information please contact  the Ridgefield Park's Village Clerk at 201-641-4950

Bogota
 The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  It will take place Council Chambers on the second floor of the Bogota Borough Hall. This is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Teaneck, NJ
  The Teaneck Farmers Market will be open from now until Thursday 26-October from 12:00n to 5:00p It is located in the  Beverly Rd parking lot at Garrison Ave  Teaneck, NJ

Friday-7-July
Bogota

The Bogota  Public Library will host their weekly Fit Club. This will take place on Fridays in the second Floor Senior Centre.  It will start at 4:00p , and is a free event.  To register for this event, or for more information please  about this and other Library events visit their web site at :  http://www.bogotapubliclibrary.org/

Friday-7-July
Hackensack, NJ

   The first of the Main St. Live Concert Series will take place in the Atlantic St. Park in Hackensack. The Concert if schedule to begin at 7:00p and will feature a performance by Exodus Supreme. They will a mixture of  R&B, Hip Hop, and Club music with a Calypso, Reggie, and African sounds. This is a free event with limited seating , it is advised to bring a blanket, or folding chairs.

Saturday-8-July
Bogota
    Bogota Beautiful will again host their Yoga in the Park classes. These will run every Saturday in May and June. Class will be one hour. These will take place each in Olsen Park and start at 9:00a. Classes will be led by a  Professional Yoga instructor. These classes are open to anyone regardless of age, or  experience.  The classes will meet at the Bandshell in Olsen Park depending on the number of attendees classes may be held in the bandshell or on the lawn in front of the bandshell. Everyone you wishes to attend is required to provide their own mat, towels, and water. Comfortable clothing that will allowed  free and ease of movement  should be worn. This is free to the public, however it is asked to contact  Bogota Beautiful at there website: bogotabeautiful.com to make a reservation for as many dates as you wish.  Bogota Beautiful will also have yoga mats available for purchase if needed  Please also visit the same website for more information or to donate to: bogotabeautiful.com
