Cooling Stations

  In preparation to the predicted extreme heat the Bergen County  Office of Emergency Management has published a list of location and times of facilities that will be available as cooling stations. These are open to the Public from  8:30a to 6:00p until further notice. Please contact the location nearest you at the phone number provided for more information. 
They are;

The National Weather Service has issued the following severe weather alerts for parts on New Jersey and New York.  Some of these continue through out the week.

Excessive heat and humidity are becoming increasingly likely on
Saturday, and possibly again on Sunday with high temperatures ranging
from the mid 90s to around 100 along with maximum heat index values
between 105 and 110.
