 On Monday-14-December  the National Weather Service has issued the following severe weather alerts for parts on New Jersey and New York.  This alert will last until Sunday-20-December. A light snow if predicted for Monday, into Monday Night. Heavier snow is predicted to start late Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning. Current predictions of total accumulation of 12 inches of snow in some areas. 
  Restricted parking regulation will be placed in-affect when Borough streets are covered with 2 or more inches of snow.

There is increasing potential for a significant winter storm
Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning with heavy snow, strong
winds, and coastal flooding.

widespread hazardous weather events that may reach NWS warning
criteria. Most long fused NWS watches, warnings, and advisories in
effect are highlighted.

Today
Rain before 2pm, then rain and snow. Temperature falling to around 35 by 5pm. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tonight
A chance of rain and snow before 7pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Northwest wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday
Sunny, with a high near 40. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
Tuesday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. Northeast wind around 6 mph.
Wednesday
Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Northeast wind 6 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Wednesday Night
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 26. Blustery. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 8 to 12 inches possible.
Thursday
Snow likely before 10am, then a chance of snow showers between 10am and 1pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Partly sunny, with a high near 33. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Thursday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 19.
