Bogota Sports

   On Thursday-9-September Bogota Varsity Sports opened their Fall 2022 Season, two games were played.  The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team traveled to Glen Rock to play the Lady Panthers. Bogota would win the match 2-0 (25-14: 25-12) Bogota's Ashanna Caviness lead all scorers with 14 Kills. Glen Rock's Anna Kang had 4 Kills along with a team high of 4 Service Points. Lady Bucs Angelina Buhler and Sarah Marquez both had match highs with 8 Service Points. Bogota's Mia Pimentel recorded 26 Assist with Ericka Nerona have 18 Assists for her team. Carolina Villada and Jenelly Jimenez each had 2 Blocks for Bogota. Polina Lipsits and Abby Reznikos both a 1 block for the Lady Panthers. Lady Bucs' Gianna Estevez had 14 Digs and Audrey Kim for Glen had 12 Digs. 
Mia Pimentel and Jenelly Jimenez for Bogota and Kasey Schwarzbeck all scores 2 Aces each
  Bogota's record is now 1-0, they next play on Friday-9-September against St. Mary's. This will be their Home Opener at Speary Gym with the first serve at 4:00

The Bogota Football Bucs opened their 2022 Season at Wallington against the Panthers. The Bucs would open the scoring with a 6 yard Touchdown run by Michael Olivo. Joseph Perpepaj would convert the 2 Point attempt and give Bogota an 8-0 lead.  Mr. Perpepaj then had his own Major Score also with a 6 Yard Touchdown Run.  The Bucs held a 14-0 advantage after the first 12 minutes. Wallington scored the only points of the second quarter with a Touchdown from the 2 yard line from Othman Hussein with the 2 Point Conversion the score was then 14-8. After the restart Bogota would score again with a second Touchdown run from Joseph Perpepaj. This was a 4 yard run and make the score 20-8.  In the final Quarter the Panther score on a 38- Yard pass from Filip Lyczko to Thomas Bohnarczyk.  The home team closed the margin to five points with The Bogota defense would not give-up anymore points and the Bucs would leave with a 20-15 road win. Bogota's record is now 1-0, they next play on Saturday-17-September. This will be their home opener at Fiegel Field and by the annual night game with the kick-off scheduled for 6:00p
