Lady Bucs Volleyball

 The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball Squad opened their 2025 season against the Wallington Lady Panthers. This took place in the Speary Gym. The Visitors would serve first and opened the set with the first two points. When Bogota gain possession Melannie Solis began what would be a 20-point run for Bogota. Ms. Solis’ time serving help the Lady Bucs to a 16-2 advantage. She was subbed out for Sophie Canaveral who added 7 more points until Wallington had a side-out. The score was 22-3 at this point, on the way to a 25-4 first set win.
 After the teams switch sides for the second set Melannie Solis opened the service for Bogota. The Lady Bucs opened a 7-0 lead before giving up the serve. The second set would also be won by the Lady Bucs by the score of 25-9. Bogota would win the match by the score of 2-0.
 Melannie Solis recorded 8 Service Points including 6 Aces. Sophie Canaveral also had 8 Service Points with 4 Aces. Emma Fowler scored 8 Kills, Nikole Alvarez finished the Match with 10 Assist, and Angelina Grod had 2 Blocks.
 Bogota next played at Garfield against the Lady Boilermakers, on Friday-5-September. The Lady Bucs would win the match by a score of 2-0. They had identical set wins of 25-15. Emma Fowler had 14 Kills, 8 Service Points with 2 Aces. Lucy Villamar recorded 10 Digs, and 8 Service Points with 2 Aces. Nikole Alvarez had a Career high with 12 Assists. Loagan Canada, Angelina Grod and Tallia Luciano each recorded 2 Blocks. 
 The Lady Bucs record is now 2-0. They next play on Saturday-6- September in Paramus with a first serve at 9:00a.
