The Bogota Lady Volleyball Bucs traveled to Glen Rock to play the Lady Panther. Bogota would win the match by a score of 2-0 (25-16: 25-16). The Lady Bucs’ Emma Fowler scored a Match high with 14 Kills; Yiesak Cabrera had a team and career high with 8 Service Points with 2 Aces. Ariana Marchant led the team with a high of 6 Digs, she also had 8 Service Points with 2 Aces. Nikole Alvarez recorded a Match high with 20 Assists. Talia Luciano, and Ariana Carmona both had a team high with 2 Blocks.
The Bogota Football Bucs host the Park Ridge Owl at Feigel Field in the Bogota Athletic Complex. Bogota scored first with a Derek Cabana 36-yard Touchdown catch from Jayden Gonzalez. Justin Roca kicked the Extra Point. After the first eight minutes Bogota had a 7-0 advantage.
In the second quarter the Owl tied the game at 7 to 7. Jason Alvarado has a 40-Touchdown run for Bogota. The Extra Point failed, and the Bucs’ lead 13-7. A Field Goal by Justin Roca, at the end of the half gave Bogota a 16-7 lead going into the Locker Room.
After the restart Park Ridge would score 21 unanswered points and leave with a 28-16 road win.
Jayden Gonzalez would be 10 out of 22 for 161 yards in passing. Including 1 Touchdown with 4 Interceptions. He would also run for 48 Yards and have in interception. Jason Alvrado led the Bucs with 44 receiving yards. Bogota’s Matt Heras led the team with 16 total Tackles, including 6 Solo Tackles along with Christian Garcia.
Bogota’s record is now 3-2. They next play on Thursday-2-October hosting Weehawken with a 6:00p Kick-off.
-Friday-26-September
The Bogota Soccer Bucs lost at Eastern Christian 4 to1. Xavier Chasi scored for Bogota with Micael Rivera assisting. Joshua Quevedo made 12 Saves with Marvin Ochoa Saving four more. Bogota’s record is now 0-7. The next play on Monday-29-September hosting Midland Park on Feigel Field in the Bogota Athletic Complex with a 6:00p Kick-off.
The Lady Volleyball Bucs defeated the Wood-Ridge Lady Blue Devils in Speary Gym 2-0 (25-8:25-16)
The Lady Bucs’ Emma Fowler scored a Match high with 10 Kills. Melannie Solis had a match and career high with 10 Service Points with 2 Aces. Ariana Marchant and Lucy Villamar led the match with 6 Digs each. Ms. Nikole Alvarez recorded a Match high with 20 Assists. Keidy Rodriguez had a match high with 4 Blocks.
They are now 11 and 1. Their next match is Tuesday-20-September at Rutherford with the first serve at 4:00p
Saturday-27-September
The Bogota Cross Country Bucs competed in the Six Flags Wild Safaris Invitational.
The Lady Bucs finished 8th out of the 20 schools running. Fergie Onate-Avila placed 26th out of the 163 Student competing. Ana Michel was 28th, Maya Schiaratura finished 55th, Anna Ter-Meliketiam followed at 57th and Paulina Montesinos in 60th
The Men’s Squad placed 5th out of the 25 schools attending the meet: Emmanuel Marin place 7th out of the 180 runners entered. Hussain Salam came in at 19th, Zohaib Syed was 23rd, Raymond Ehrmann took 38th place and Ethan Schwarzenbach finish in 62nd.
They next compete on Saturday-4-October in Holmdel starting at 9:00a.
-Monday-29-September
The Bogota Soccer Bucs hosted the Midland Park Panther on Feigel Field. The first 40 minutes of play ended with neither team scoring. After the restart Midland Park would get Goals from Eli Fabish and Ryan Kuhnel. Bogota then cut the lead in-half with a Goal by Raphael Aniceto. The game ended 2 to 1 in favor of the Panthers. Joshua Quevedo made 12 Saves. Bogota’s record is 0-8. They next play on Friday-3-October with a 4:00p kick-off at Feigel Field in the Bogota Athletic Complex.
