Primary results

   The Bergen Record is reporting that Bogota Mayor Tito Jackson has won the Democratic Nomination to run for Mayor in the November Elections.   Mayor Jackson  won with 59% of the votes cast a total of 455 to George Silos 316.  Mr.Silos conceded the win to Mayor Jackson and congratulated him on his victory. In the race for the Democratic Nomination for Borough Council Councilwoman Lisa Kohles had 30.5 % of the vote with 462 which lead all vote getters, her running mate Ingrid Brito  had 456 votes. Councilman Evaristo Burdiez Jr had 316 votes and Tina Trotta had 297 votes all total are unofficial at this time.
   This means that the Elections in November will be:
For Mayor
Democrat- Mayor Tito Jackson
Republican- Councilman Chris Keleman
For Borough Council
 Democrat - Councilwoman Lisa Kohes & Ingrid Brito
Republican- Daniele Fede & Donald Hunter.
In other races of local note:
The Democratic Nominee  for the U.S. House of Representative will be Roy Cho who defeated Diane Sare by over 80% of the vote. Mr. Cho will now face Congressman Scott Garrett  for the seat representing the 5th district in New Jersey
 In the Republican Primary for U.S. Senate  with 94 % of the precincts reporting only 9% points separate the four Candidates. with the top three having a 4% point difference. The winner of this race will face U.S.Senator Cory Booker in November.
 Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan will face James Tedesco. Both ran unchallenged.
For Freeholders Democrats David Ganz & Joan Voss will face Republicans Robert Avery & Bernadette Coghlan-Walsh.
