Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota for the week starting on Thursday-28-September.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.

  The Bogota Public Library has set out a box to collect old, and used Crayola coloured makers. Makers collected will be send to the Crayola company to be reprocessed. For more information please visit their web site at;  http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle

May-September
Bogota  
 Bogota Beautiful is conducting a contest to find the Bogota resident with the most appealing curb presents. This is open to all homeowners in Bogota. The homeowner may submit their own residents, or  other resident for consideration. The general Public may also nominate any home in Bogota for consideration. Only the front and side yards are eligible to be nominated.  There are two different categories that will be voted on.  One is the most appealing landscape of any home in Bogota. The other category that will be voted on is the best improved lawn in Bogota. This is a contest for any Homeowner that is currently, or is planning to upgrade and improve their landscaping. Two set  of photos are required for this contest. A separate before  and after photo should be sent for consideration for this category. To enter  either , of both  contests  1 to 3 photos the  nominated lawn must be sent to bogotabeautiful@gmail.com  before  Sunday 31-July-2016.
    Photos will be posted on  Bogota Beautiful facebook page starting on Saturday 6-August for voting. To vote please "like" the photo. Voting is schedule to run through  Tuesday 16-August. The top 6 vote "like" getters will be entered into the final round of judge by a committee from Bogota Beautiful. Winners will be announced on Sunday 28- August. Bogota

 The Bogota  Public Library will continue its’s Story time on Thursdays. This will be  a chance to hear a story  starting at 10:30a . These will be available to any Student wishing to join in. Bogota

     The Bogota  Public Library will host a concert by Francine & Joel starting at 12:00 noon. This will feature music from famous movie soundtracks.  The performance will take place in the second floor Senior Center. This is a event are free event, and is open to the public.   The Teaneck Farmers Market will be open from now until Thursday 27-October from 12:00n to 5:00p It is located in the  Beverly Rd parking lot at Garrison Ave  Teaneck, NJ

Hackensack, NJ
   Fairleigh Dickinson University will be hosting the 2016 Bergen County College night. This will take place at the Rothman Center of Fairleigh Dickinson University at the Metropolitan campus in Hackensack.  Doors will open at 6:00p and run until 9:00p over 200 Colleges and Universities, along with business & trade School will have information about their programs. This is a free event for Students and parent to learn learn about Higher Education.  

Friday-30-Sept.
Bogota
The Bogota Public Library will host a Mini-Makers lab for Students age 4-6. This will be held on the library first floor in the Teen quiet study area. Saturday-1-Oct.
Bogota 
The  St. Joseph's School will hold their 3rd annual 5K run/walk. This will start  and finish at the Bogota Recreation.  The race will start at 9:00a with registration opening at 7:30. Cost is $25.00  before 19-September $20.00   for any Student under 14. Early registers  will recieve a t-shirt. Race day registration will be priced at $30.00. Proceeds will go to the St. Joseph's School and Special Olympics.  for more information please call 201-487-8641

Saturday-1- Oct.
Bogota
   St. Joseph's Church in Bogota is sponsoring a Bicycle donation event. This will be held at the Church's parking lot. They will be collection use bicycles and sewing machines to aid families  other countries.  Bicycles must been be rust free, but those needing tires, or basic repairs will be accepted. Portable sewing machine, in working condition will also be accepted.   With each item donated it is asked they a fee of $10.00 be included to cover handling and shipping cost.  These items will be sent to countries such Ghana, Albania , Nicaragua and others. Monday-3- Oct.
Bogota
    The weekly “ Meet the Mayor”  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor’s office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
