Bogota Basketball

   On Friday-10- February the basketball teams from Bogota played those from Palisades Park. Both games were originally schedule for Thursday, but were delayed on day due to the weather. The Lady Bucs travel to Palisades Park and again suffer a slow start. The Lady Tigers built up a ten point lead in the first quarter. Bogota played a stronger second quater but still trailed 21- 24 at halftime. The third quater remained close until Palisades Park  took control of the final quater and handed Bogota a 31-46 loss. Tatiana Bruno was the game high scorer with 18 Points including 3 Three Point Baskets. Brianna Charles also record 3 Three Point scores for Palisades Park. 
   Bogota record is now 2-16. They next travel to Cresskill on Tuesday-14-February for a game schedule to start at 4:00p

    The Mens Basketball Bucs play on Jay Mahoney Court starting at 4:00p.  Palisades Park score the first three points of the game, which would be their only lead. Bogota counter with their own three baskets and lead by 4 after the first eight minutes. More three points basket pushed Bogota to a 38-25 going into half time. The Bucs kept up their scoring pace on the way to an 80-47 win. Deiker Padrino led all scores with 25 Points including 3 Three Point Baskets. Shaun Cray also had 3 Three Pointers while Tim Uzor led with 4 basket from beyond the arc.  Bogota's record is on 13-5. They next compete in the first round of the Bogota Invitational Tournament on Sunday-12-February against Paramus. This will be played  at Garfield High School with a tip-off time of 4:30p. Their next league game is against Cresskill on Tuesday-14-February. This will be played at home on the Jay Mahoney Court and is schedule to start at 7:00p.
   Bogota is ranked #4 in the NJSIAA North 1 Group 1 Tournament. They will play at home on Tuesday -28-February  against #13 North Warren.  The game is scheduled for a 7:00p start.
