Bogota Sports

  Results from  the sports played on Friday-3 February.
  The Bogota/Weehawken Wrestling Squad had a match against Paramus Catholic. Bogota/Weehawken lost the first four bouts and could not recover in a 33-37 loss.  Brandon Gonzalez  at 132 lbs,  Tyler Williams  at 138 lbs  Alfonso Salandra at 160 lbs and  Simon Cardona at 220 lbs all scored Pin Falls.
    Bogota/Weehawken record is now 10-12 they next compete in the Hudson County Duals on Saturday 2-February in At Union City High School. The first bouts are scheduled for 9:00a  There next league match will be at Tenafly on Wednesday 8-February starting at 7:00p. 
    Bogota/Weehawken will be ranked #7 in the NJSIAA North 1 Group 1 Tournament. They will face #2 Butler on Monday-6 February at Butler with a scheduled start time of 7:00p

  The Men's Basketball Bucs traveled to Midland Park to play the game that was postponed on Tuesday due to the weather. The Panthers started the game strong and took a 9 Point lead at the end of the first eight minutes. Bogota closed the gap, but still trailed 15-20 going into halftime. Midland park kept the lead going into the final quater, and could not hold off the Bucs who outscored their host by 11 Points to grab a 43-39 come from behind victory.
  Deiker Padrino led all scores with 22 Points including 2 Three Point Baskets.  Bogota now has a record of 11-5. They next play  Tuesday-7-February at Emerson. This is schedule to have a 7:00p tip-off.  They also have a first round game in the   Bergen Invitational Tournament. They will play  Paramus in the first round. This will take place at Garfield starting at 4:30p
