Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the the weekend starting on Friday-29-March. Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

Thursday & Friday until 13-April

 The library is again working with AARP this year to provided assistance in tax preparation. This will be available on Thursday and Fridays from now until Saturday 15- April.  This is targeted to anyone over the age of 60 who could also be collecting Social Security .

Continuing 
  Starting on Sunday-1 July-2018 the Borough of Bogota will change the ordnance in what can be recycled. Bottle & cans recycling pick-up the Borough of Bogota will now be limited to: Aluminium, Glass, Bi-metal/Tin cans. Aluminium foils and pie plates will be accepted but must be clean. Plastic Containers with the symbol  1, 2, or 5  only  will also be accepted.   All recyclable material must be placed in  reusable trash receptacles.  Items places in plastic bag will not be collected. Paper and cardboard recycling remains unchanged.
   The  collectible the products that have been removed from the accepted list will now be accepted by The Borough of Bogota in cooperation with the Ridgefield Park  environmental commission and collected in a separate way. The Trex Corporation has provided bins to accept the following item. Grocery bags, bread bags, case overwrapping, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags, wood pellet bags, zip lock & other re-seal able bags, produce bags, bubble wrap, salt bags, and cereal bags. All  recyclable materials must be clean, dry and free of food residue. For every 500 pounds of plastic collected the Trex Corporation will donate a new park bench, made from recycled materials. The benches will be donated to both Bogota and Ridgfield Park on a rotating basis. As of now a Trex collection bin is in the lobby of the Bogota Borough Hall and  the Bogota Public Library can be accessed  during  regular business hours. More bins are planned for other locations in the future.

The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a. También habrá Historias leídas en español en este momento. This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. Bogota
     The Healthy Kids Running Series will hold their next series of sessions for the Spring. This will be the first of the five day  events in the Healthy  Kids Running Series  for the Spring of 2019 in Bogota. Healthy Kids Running Series a nonprofit organization that gets boys and girls Pre-K through Middle School active, feel accomplished and lays the foundation for a healthy lifestyle, compete in their first race of the five-consecutive-week Series. This will take place at Fiegel Field starting at 4:30p. It will run for 5 straight weeks ending on Sunday 5-May.  Price for one session is $10.00 For the entire series is $35.00 Runners can chose to race in as many as they would like.

The Bogota Public  Library will have their Youth's Sewing Club meeting.  This is  open to  Students ages 9-18.  This will teach anyone the art of sewing. There will be a chance to learn machine, and hand sewing as well as shown different project and types of material. The Bogota Public Library will present the movie "The Green Book " starting at 6:00p. Snacks will be sold for $1.00 each as a fundraiser for the library 
 This is a free event, but anyone attending is asked to register with the Library in advance.

    The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Teaneck, NJ
The Rotary Club of Teaneck host their seven annual Taste of Teaneck. This  will be a showcase of the areas restaurants, bakeries, and other culinary businesses.  This will be  held at the Marriott at Glenpointe with the doors opening at 5:00p until 9:30p. Tickets for this event are $50.00 in advance and $60.00 at the door. There are also tables available for $650.00 which will be for 10 guest. These are only available in advance.  Admission price includes an opportunity to sample the fare from  over 20 local restaurants. There will also be live entertainment from by local musicians. Proceeds from this event will go to local charities and other international humanitarian projects.
