Benjamin Franklin Middle School Class of 2020

  On Monday-22- June the Benjamin Franklin Middle School held their virtual Commencement Ceremony for the Eight Grade Class of 2020. To view the video please go to  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGvPhTRGaZY 
 The presentation started with the singing of the National Anthem by Ms. Linea Rondael who was accompanied by Mr. Frank Fano.  This was followed by Benjamin Franklin Middle School Principal Mr. Terrence Williams welcoming those who viewed the ceremony. Principal Williams thanked the Eight grade Student for working during the current situation. He complemented for their focus and commitment for succeeding to earn their Graduation.  Then Assistant Principal David Deubel remembered how these Students looked when that first enter Middle School. Then how they grow, while still being themselves after four years.  He continued in saying that beginnings maybe scary, ending maybe sad but remember all the times in the middle.  The friendship with Classmates, Dances, Pep rally, Basketball Games and time spend in classroom learning lesson that will guide you in High School and beyond. 
  Eight Grade School Counselor  Mr. Michael Smith then spoke to the Class of 2020. he let them know his job as Counselor does not end with this ceremony. But for him it is a lifetime job to support, aid, encourage and celebrate with the Students of Benjamin Franklin  when they need it. Mr. Smith is waiting to hear from them soon, and in the future. Next Mr. Sean-Angelo Libreja recounted the past year experiencing the Student share while at Benjamin Franklin.  The Student Council Co-President Ms. Aasiya Arif  took the time for a moment of silence to remember the victims of covid-19. She thanked the Teachers that inspired her, Her Parents who supported her, and the sacrifices they made so she could the opportunities to learn. And finally congratulate her Classmates on their graduation.
   Before the presentation of the Eight Grade Class there was a message from New Jersey Senator Cory Booker. Then came the presentation of the Class off 2020 with a personalized slides  show. When the last Student was announced Teaneck High School Principal Mr. Clifton Thompson welcomed the Class of 2024 to the Castle on the Hill. After that Superintendent of School Dr. Christopher Irving thanked the Family and Friends in sharing this moment with the Students and congratulated the Benjamin Franklin Middle School Class of 2020 on their achievement.
