Summer Arts Festival

  On Saturday- 12-June the Ridgefield Park Arts Association held their Summer Arts Festival as part of of the 2021 Bergen Arts Amble. A number of other studios and galleries in the Village participating were: Pottery on Palisades, the Arts Mora Gallery, both of which are located on Main St. in Ridgefield Park.  Other locations were the Studio Leshay Rafael on Edwin Ave., along with a group showing at the Ridgefield Park Civic Centre. 
  The Summer Festival was a mix of live music, and more artist, displaying their work.  This year the festival was held on Main St. from Park St to Mt. Vernon St. A stage was set-up at the corner of Main St. and Grove St. Artist tables were place on Grove St. allowing visitors to look at the art work and listen to music together. A group of outdoor table were available north of the stage so that the attendees could order from the restaurants on Main St. and enjoy the food outside accompany by the performers on stage. 
   The Master of Ceremonies was Mr. John Malool. He introduced Ridgefield Park Mayor Mr. John Anlian. Mayor Anlian welcomed everyone to this year Festival and encourage the guests to enjoy the food  from the local establishments. Along with visiting the artist table set up.  Later Commissioner Mr. Mark Olson talked about the Ridgefield Park Arts Association and how they help promote the Arts community in the Village. Commissioner Olson also talked about the upcoming events Ridgefield Park Arts Association will be hosting. These included the Forth of July Concert, to be held on Monday-5-July. This will include a concert by the Rutherford Community Band to be held in Veteran's Park scheduled to start at 7:30p. 
This will also have a usually Flag raising at Mt. Vernon and Euclid Ave. starting at 7:30a. The  Youth parade at 9:00a and the Civil parade starting at 11:30a. All will be in-person and standard participation.
   The live music was provided by Elijah James and Company, Mr Joe Kenney, Ms Sarah Zuhovin & Mr. Sam Golub, and Rachel Anne & Justin Moore, along with a few more. Painters on hand were  from the Angel Duran Studios, along with Ms. Katherine Gonzalez, and Made By Rust. Rust would also create a few original works during the Festival which allowed the visitors to view the creative possess as it happen. Author  Ms. Michelle Reynoso had copies of her latest book on sale.
   Creative Bergen sponsored the 2021 Art Amble. The events took place in many communities   throughout Bergen County. This was a way in showcasing  the visual and performing artists, in their studios or a public space. It welcomed visitors from Bergen County, along with Northern New Jersey and New York to discover and support local artists.  The Arts Amble  consisted of Artists' studios, galleries, exhibition and performance venues that opened their spaces for public viewing. The objective is to directly support Bergen County's art community by showcasing local art and artists.  Creative Bergen is working in cooperation with Sustainable Jersey, and Bergen County HUB  to promote the Artist community in Bergen County.
