Excessive Heat Warning.
There is potential for isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms
late this afternoon into evening.
-DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
There is potential for localized to scattered areas of flash
flooding Thursday afternoon into evening ahead of and along a slow
moving cold front.


AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued an
Air Quality Action Day for the following counties:
Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex, Union.
until 11 PM EDT this evening.
An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone within the
region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.

EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING.

-Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to
107.
-.Eastern Passaic, Hudson, Eastern Bergen, Western
Essex, Eastern Essex, Western Union and Eastern Union Counties.
-Until 8 PM EDT this evening.
-Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase
the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those
working or participating in outdoor activities.
