Aftermath

 13-July-2021
Results of the heavy rain storm, from last week, in Bogota. The constant rain fall and tidal cycle did cause flooding in the most vulnerable locations.  This included the corner of Elm Ave and River Rd by the railroad under pass. Water there reached between three to four feet over flood stage. One vehicle was trapped by the raising waters, but the driver was able to safely exit the car without sustaining any injuries.
The Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept.  responded to reports  of 4 downed power lines and 1 arching transformer causing a number of power outages. The Fire Department also reported 2 activated Fire Alarms, 2 Storm Standbys, and 1 street call box activated. They also answered mutual aid call from Teaneck, and Englewood.
