Academic Awards

   On Thursday-9-June Bogota High School hosted the Academic Awards ceremony for the Senior of the Class of 2022.  This was to present The Bogota Students awards in  Academic achievement along with a number of  Scholarship to be used to continue their Education. 
   To start the evening the Bogota Student Council took the time to honour members of the Administration and Facility that had help them the most of the past 4-6 years at the High School. High School Principal Ms. Kelly Foley DeCongelio was the first to be recognized by the Student with other Teachers and Counselors as well. 
  The first part of the event was to announced those Student who had won Scholarships in various disciplines. These ranged from general Academic Achievement, to Community and Social Service to Musical and Athletic distinction. Next came the Athletic award from Local, County and private organization to reward those Students who excelled in sports while maintaining a high quality of Educational Standards.  This was followed by the Awards for the Fine Art Department for showing Excellence in the Performing Arts during their High School career. The next set of awards were given to Student for Academic achievement. These were for Physical Education Science, English, and other Language Studies, Mathematics, and Social Studies. 
  The final set of awards were present by  Principal DeCongelio, and Vice Principal Dr. Malcolm Lash. These included  the Presidential  Educational Awards, the Community Service Acknowledgment won by Ms Kyla Lowery. The Unsung Hero Award won by Mr. Alex Lopez.  The Principal’s Award for Service and The Henry Luthin Scholarship would be presented to Ms. Kaylin Torres.
