Leaf season started on Tuesday-10-October until Monday-18-December. Homeowners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street, along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is asked that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding, or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -18- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

The Bogota Recreation Department will hold its annual House Decorating Contest. This is open to all Bogota residents and will have three categories. The house decorating will be judged on Dec 22nd.    On Wednesday-29-November the Bogota Middle School has put up a Giving Tree in the main lobby. They are looking for any sized, gently used (or new) winter coats, new hats, new gloves, gently used toys (puzzles/board games/books). Donated items will be hung on the tree or place them under the tree as they come in. The General Public can donate items in the morning from 7:30a-8:15a at the front entrance and again from 2:45p-3:15p. There will also be a donation box outside during school hours.  All donations will go to families in need for this holiday season. This will continue until Thursday-21-December. Ms.  Mary Wynman is organizing a Senior Citizen Care Packages collection drive. She is looking for donation of soaps, toothpaste, shaving kits, kitchen towels. hand sanitizer, tissues and other personal hygiene items. Gloves, scarfs, hats, and other cold weather clothing are also needed.  She will also except adult coloring, color pencils, holiday pens, crafts, holiday socks, ornaments, back scratchers candies, cookies, decks of cards. All donations should be dropped off on, or before Monday-18-December at 210 Cypress Ave, Bogota.
 Donations will be distributed with the help of "helping hands" starting on Thursday-21-Decemebr to Sunday-24-December.For more information please contact her at 201-906-3566.

 The Bogota High School's Fine Arts Department will hold their Winter Concert. Doors open at 6:30p and start at 7:00p. Tickets at prices at $10.00 and are available at the door. This will take place in the Auditorium located at 2 Henry Luthin Pl Bogota, NJ

Friday-15-December Teaneck, NJ The Womens support group "Never Alone Again" and the Bergen County Food Security Task Force is offering hot meals to go curbside pick-up every Friday starting at 5:00p This will be held at their resource center located at 668 American Legion Dr. Teaneck, NJ. Sunday-17-December
Bogota  
   Members of The Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. will be escorting Santa on his Lollipop tour of the Borough. This is a chance for the Bogota Children to show Santa that they have be nice this year. He starts his tour at about Noon with Lollipops being passed out by his helpers.  Santa asked every coming out to watch from safe distance while staying on the sidewalk.
