Results from Bogota Varsity Basketball from this past weekend. On Friday-15 December the Lady Bucs would travel to Garfield to play the Lady Boilermakers.  Garfield would win the game by a score of 41-34.  The Lady Boilermakers' Irma Sanchez had a game high with 21 Points. Bogota's Emma Fowler led the team with 17 Points including a game high of 5 Three Point Baskets. Sonja Syla scored 3 Three Point Baskets for Garfield. The Lady Bucs' Makayla Douglas had a game high with 3 Blocks. Ms. Sanchez also had a game high with 17 Rebounds. Anandi Figueroa, Ms. Douglas, and Ms. Fowler all recorded 8 Rebounds for Bogota. They now have a record of 0-2. The next play on Tuesday-19-December against Dwight-Englewood. This will take place on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym with a 4:00p tip-off. 

  The Men's team host Garfield the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.  With the new uniform rule this year the Bucs donned the black jerseys with Bucs Gold side stripes and Bogota Purple numbers and names.  The game started the visitors getting the first point. Bogota would then take a 4-1 lead. By the end of the first eight minutes the Bucs would have an 8-3 lead. At halftime the score would be tied at 21 a piece. In the second half Garfield would capitalize on their scoring chances and start to open the points margin. They would add to their lead and win the game by a score of 51-44. Bogota's Michael Olivo scored a game high 19 Points. He and Jaidin Gonzalez each had one Three Point Baskets for the Bucs. Garfield's Dwuan State led his team with 17 Points with Rafael Hernandez posting a game high with 3 Three Points Baskets.  Bogota's Lucas Cruz registered 7 Rebounds and 2 Blocks. The Bucs' record is now 1-1. The next play on Tuesday-19-December at Dwight-Englewood with a 7:00p tip-off.
